Message from the President

Welcome to the University of Louisiana at Monroe!

ULM’s campus includes over 238 acres nestled along beautiful Bayou DeSiard in Monroe, LA. A university defined by the vibrancy of its students, ULM stands out as a regional educational resource to help students reach their academic goals and launch a career.

Through 43 majors, 42 concentrations and 2 certifications, ULM’s faculty and staff are dedicated to helping students excel in their studies.

ULM is home to many unique programs that draw students from around the world: atmospheric science; agbusiness; exercise physiology/pre-physical therapy; physiology concentration; and the only state-supported pharmacy program.

The aviation department is offering the state’s only certification program in unmanned aircraft systems. This certification is important to graduates who want to land one of over 1,000 new, high-paying jobs created over the next two years as predicted by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.

In addition, ULM’s risk management and insurance degree is one of only 30 in the country and one of only two that offer concentrations in surplus lines and re-insurance. The accounting program is among the elite few in the world that has earned separate accreditation from AACSB-International—the premier accreditation agency for business accounting. Our toxicology bachelor’s degree is one of only six in the nation.

Your time on ULM’s campus will be full of study but also full of fun. ULM recognizes over 150 student organizations ranging from professional, to Greek, to religious. Athletics is a constant favorite among students from football in the fall to golf in the spring. ULM also boasts national championship teams in both water skiing and fishing.

Whatever your area of interest, we are committed to you and appreciate your demonstrated ability and determination.

I welcome you to ULM.
