Art, Studio Art: Ceramics, B.F.A.

Required for the BFA degree with a concentration in Studio Art:

core courses required for a major also include 18 hours selected from

(at least one course in every concentration not pursued) 

*indicates course is a part of a specific (Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting) concentration

plus the completion of

  • 24 hours in a major concentration
  • 15 hours of art electives
  • a concentration portfolio


A total of 78 semester hours in art is required with a grade of “C” or better in each course.

The last 18 hours in Art must be taken at ULM.

Art B.F.A.

The Art Program offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration selected from Art Education, Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, and Painting.

Art majors are formally admitted to the BFA program following successful completion of the first ART 3000 - Portfolio  review. The BFA requires a minimum of 78 credit hours in art with 30 hours of general art/foundation and 12 hours in art history. Studio Art concentrations which include Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, or Painting will complete 24 hours in art concentration and 15 hours of art electives and the Art Education Concentration will complete 36 hours in art concentration. The BFA also requires 39 hours in general education core classes.
