				POST-BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATE IN SECONDARY EDUCATION
  
The Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Secondary Education program is designed for individuals who have earned a baccalaureate degree in a discipline other than education and who are seeking teacher certification in Secondary Education (Grades 6-12, with certification areas in Biology, Chemistry, English, Math, Social Studies, Foreign Language: Spanish, Foreign Language: French). The practitioner teacher program is a streamlined certification path that combines intensive coursework and full-time teaching. This program is structured as a 3 - semester - 24 hour program with full-time teaching required in the final two semesters. The Louisiana Department of Education also requires (1) a baccalaureate degree, (2) the minimum GPA requirement 2.20 OR higher on a 4.00 scale.

  - Baccalaureate Degree and Admission to ULM
  - Minimum GPA requirement 2.20 on a 4.00 scale
  - Pass required PRAXIS content exam (Prior to Semester II- Internship)
  - Minimum GPA requirement 2.75 in POST BACC coursework (Prior to Semester III- Internship)
  - Pass required PRAXIS PLT or World Language Pedagogy exam (Prior to Semester III- Internship)
