Program Admission
Admission to the Master of Arts degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy is at the discretion of the Program Admissions Committee of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. An applicant for admission to the Master of Arts degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy will meet one of the following criteria:
- A minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 2.5; or
- A minimum combined score of 750 on the GRE General Test (Verbal plus Quantitative); or
- A total of at least 1875 points based upon the formula—400 times the overall undergraduate grade-point average plus the combined GRE General Test score (Verbal plus Quantitative).
Program Requirements
Undergraduate requirements includes 18 semester hours of behavioral science.
Requirements for a major are Counseling: Total course requirements: 60 hours.
A total of 500 client contact hours must be approved and documented by the Clinical Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy program. A thesis is optional. |
