HLST 2003 - Healthcare Issues 3 cr.
This course provides students with an overview of complex healthcare delivery systems within the United States. Students will be introduced to various structures of modern healthcare delivery including the roles of healthcare professionals within healthcare organizations. Basic concepts and current issues will be discussed to provide an understanding of how healthcare systems are organized, managed, and financed. Students will explore health promotions, disease prevention, health policy, and quality management in the healthcare marketplace.
