Program Admission
Application Priority Deadline is February 1
Admission to the Master of Arts degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy is a two-step process. All applicants must apply and be admitted to the graduate school prior to consideration by the Marriage and Family Therapy Program Committee. Admission to the Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) program is at the discretion of the MFT Program Admissions Committee. In addition to the university requirements for admission to the Graduate School at ULM, applicants for admission to the M.A. in MFT will meet the following criteria:
Any graduate, terminal, or professional degree from a regionally accredited university. GRE Required.
OR
Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5 (based on a 4.0 scale) from a regionally accredited university. GRE Required.
OR
GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework from a regionally accredited university. GRE Required.
AND
Minimum of 18 credit hours in behavioral sciences
Program Requirements
Undergraduate requirements include 18 semester hours of behavioral science.
Requirements for a major are:
Total course requirements: 60 hours.
A total of 500 client contact hours must be approved and documented by the Clinical Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy program. A thesis is optional. |
