Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry Concentration, B.S.

Required for a Major in Chemistry


All Chemistry majors are required to successfully complete the following chemistry courses with a “C” or better: CHEM 1007 CHEM 1008 CHEM 1009 CHEM 1010 CHEM 2030 CHEM 2031 CHEM 2032 CHEM 2033 CHEM 2040 CHEM 2041 CHEM 3020 CHEM 3021 CHEM 3050  and CHEM 3051 

All Chemistry majors are also expected to successfully complete the following courses with a “C” or better: MATH 1031 , MATH 1032 PHYS 2007 PHYS 2008 PHYS 2009  and PHYS 2010 .  

In addition to the above requirements, those students pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemistry are required to complete the following courses with a “C” or better: CHEM 3010 CHEM 3022 CHEM 3023 , plus at least 6 credit hours from the following courses: CHEM 3052 CHEM 4007 CHEM 4013 CHEM 4030 , or CHEM 4031 

Required for a Concentration in Forensic Chemistry


Those students pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Forensic Chemistry are required to successfully complete the following courses with a “C” or better: CHEM 3010  and CHEM 4044  in addition to the requirements listed above for all majors.
