POST-BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTING TECHNOLOGY (PBAT)

Completion of a baccalaureate degree outside the accounting and computer information systems fields and admission to ULM are pre-requisite expectations for the program. Upon meeting those requirements, students will enroll in the following courses (21 hours). Students may be able to complete the entire program within one year, dependent upon background degree. The progression of the student, however, through the program will depend on the student’s flexibility, ability and financial support to participate in the program. This program is to be offered online to only those enrolled in a postbaccalaureate program in the School of Accounting, Financial and Information Services. Proctored exam testing is required in all courses; the cost and arrangements for that proctored testing through an approved testing site is the responsibility of the individual student. A grade of “C” or higher is required in each course to be used toward completion of the PBAT. A minimum of 15 hours of course work must be completed through ULM. Certification in an approved IT/Accounting related area is required as part of the PBAT program; the certificate will not be awarded until validation of that certification has occurred. Costs associated with that certification are a responsibility of the student.
