The Division of Art, offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration selected from Art Education, Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.
Art majors are formally admitted to the BFA program following successful completion of the first ART 3000 Portfolio review. The BFA requires a minimum of 78 credit hours in art with 30 hours of general art/foundation and 12 hours in art history. Studio Art concentrations which include Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, or Sculpture will complete 24 hours in art concentration and 12 hours of art electives and the Art Education Concentration will complete 36 hours in art concentration. The BFA also requires 42 hours in general education core classes that includes an additional art history course as the university capstone requirement.
