ATMS 3006 - Dynamic Meteorology II 3 cr.
An application of kinematics, dynamics, and thermodynamics in diagnosing synoptic-scale weather systems. Quasi-geostrophic theory; cyclogenesis and frontogenesis; jet dynamics, linear perturbation theory; atmospheric waves ; baroclinic instability.
