NURS 4033 - Nursing Intervention in the Care of the Aged

(3 Cr.) A study of the concepts and principles necessary for nursing intervention in the care of the aged. The focus will be on the seven broad areas in the care of the aged that have nursing implications: Aging and Nursing, The Normal Aging Process, Deviations of the Aging Process: Geropsychiatry; Deviations of the Aging Process: Pathophysiology; The Nursing Process; Social Forces and Aging: Implications for Nursing; Research in Aging.
