SOCW 4003 - Family Violence and Social Work Practice

(3 Cr.) Identifies the four major kinds of violence within families; assesses the dynamics and complex issues associated with family violence and their implication for the social worker; looks at current local, state, and national efforts to resolve the problem. Emphasis is on an overview of treatment and prevention programs for victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.
