Career Connections and Experiential Education

The ULM Office of Career Connections and Experiential Education is a one-stop career resource for ULM students and alumni. It includes career counseling and placement, academic internships, and on-and off-campus student employment.

Career Day (job fairs) is a regularly scheduled event sponsored by Career Connections and are designed to bring ULM students together with employers. Students and alumni are also invited to take advantage of Career Connections’ job attainment skills workshops and individual job skills counseling, including resume writing, interview skills, and social media. Online services include employment listings and applications, online interview practice sessions, job attainment tips and document samples, and schedules of upcoming job fairs and on-campus interviews.

One division of Career Connections is the Office of Academic Internships, where students are matched with paid and unpaid internship positions designed to provide on-the-job learning experiences that connect classroom preparation with the professional world of work.

The individual student is ultimately responsible for his/her own employment. No University personnel can assume responsibility for employment, nor for educational or career decisions.

The Office of Career Connections and Experiential Education is located on the 3rd floor of the ULM Library. For additional information, call (318) 342-5338 or email careerconnections@ulm.edu. Online information and services are available at www.ulm.edu/careerconnections.
